Great success for Lucas at 2023 Automec, Brazil
Held in the Sao Paulo Expo Centre, 22nd – 26th April 2023, Automec exceeded all expectations and established itself as the largest B2B business event in Latin America and the second largest in the world for the aftermarket.
Automec, which returned for the first time after the pandemic in 2019, featured 1,500 exhibiting brands from 12 countries, in 7 international pavilions. 450 were international exhibitors. It occupied 105,000 m2 of all pavilions of São Paulo Expo and the external area.
The event recorded more than 90,000 unique visitors (20% more than the last edition). With a 30% return rate, the total audience reached 117,000 visitors, coming from all regions of Brazil and 60 countries.
The total volume of potential business declared by visitors reached a record number of BRL 29.5 billion (BRL 4.5 billion above expectations).
The digital reach of the fair reached 4.2 million people, four times greater than the last edition.
And, of course, Lucas was there, displaying all of the products available from our global business in this region, including our extensive range of diesel and electrical products.
Trade at the Lucas Stand was extremely brisk with many new contacts and opportunities arising.
Despite a widely held opinion that ‘live shows’ would be a thing of the past post pandemic, Lucas has kept to the extensive schedule of international shows which we attend, as the chance to meet in person seems to be ever more important since global lock-downs were imposed, and we intend to keep on being where are customers are, now and far into the future.
